It's Saturday night, I'm working on homework and decided I needed to update my blog. Sorry, no pictures yet. I finally converted my Study into the new Nursery for the baby. I painted the room in 2 shades of pink, the crib is assembled as well as the changing table. It's looking really cute and I'm driving Steve crazy because he claims that I'm "nesting." Just last week I received a schedule for Lamaze classes. I'm a little over 7 months now and better take those classes soon. Between work, school and homework, I can't seem to find any free nights to begin the classes. I'll share how it goes after I take the classes. Not only was the clock ticking to get pregnant, the clock is ticking to take these Lamaze classes, finish the nursery before the baby arrives and get myself on a Baby Registry. My family and friends have been pressuring me to register at Target and Babies R Us. So, yesterday after a homework break Steve, my Mom and I went to Target to register. I seem to need everything. Steve had a ball scanning stuff. The first thing he scanned was a First-Aid kit with a thermometer and the second thing was a baby scale. Not quite sure why we need a scale, but he insisted. We will head out to Babies R Us tomorrow to get registered. It's fun but a little frustrating, not sure what is really necessary to have.

So it's a GIRL! Now we need to think of a name. Steve has left it up to me. I have a couple in mind, but I am still undecided. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us.
Now for the fun part, I get to decorate the extra bedroom. My next doctors appointment is Thursday, March 13th and I will update then and hopefully take some photos of my big belly before that. Well have a great Valentine's Day.

I went to the doctor on Thursday, January 22nd. My visit was mainly for the genetic testing. They did a series of blood tests, one of which will be sent to the State to determine the probability of birth defects based on genetic analysis (such as Down-Syndrome and Spina bifida). Next week I will get a call if the results are positive and therefore be expected to have an amniocentesis within 7 days. But, if everything is normal, I won't be in to see the doctor until February 12th. He will then do another ultrasound to see the development of the babies organs. I may even find out the sex of the baby!

I have everyone asking me to post a picture of my tummy now to see how much I have grown. On my first visit to the doctor back in October, I weighed 101 pounds and wore a size 0. The last time I went to the doctors on December 29th, I dropped to 99 pounds. Today I am back to 101 and still wear a size 0, although the jeans don't feel as comfortable anymore. I also think that I'm now scared to suffocate the baby. Although I have not put on much weight, I am getting very flabby around the tummy because I have had no exercise in 3 1/2 months. My lower tummy is also getting really hard and I am no longer able to suck it in like I used to. My next doctor appointment is on January 22, 2009 and they will be doing some genetic testing. I AM GETTING WORRIED.

Getting ready for Christmas in Big Bear

We are going up to Big Bear for Christmas (my whole family). We will be there for one week and we are trying to pack. Heard it was snowing. The high there today is about 36 degrees f and low will be 18 degrees f. We can't wait to play in the snow. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Christmas! Well, it's almost December 22nd, my next ultrasound. Steve will be going with me to this appointment, it will be his first. He is anxious to see the baby. He's never seen or heard an actual ultrasound of the baby. We wish it was Monday now!

My Birthday wish

It is my birthday this Friday (November 21st). My only wish has been to add a baby to our little family. My birthday wish has come true! I'M FINALLY PREGNANT! I'm ready to celebrate with a glass of prune juice (to keep me regular).

My symptoms at 6 weeks

Per doctors orders: I don't walk up many stairs, I don't do much walking and I don't carry anything heavy.
I have been off my feet for about 2 weeks now just taking it easy.
Today,
I am feeling tired and sleepy and I am not very hungry.
But, I am happy we finally saw a baby heart beat on November 11, 2008!
